Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Be a primary point of contact for payroll- and benefits-related questions for employees and managers
• Conduct new-hire orientations covering payroll and benefits enrollment
• Process weekly and monthly payroll, including overtime, bonuses, deductions, and garnishments
• Maintain payroll records, reconcile accounts, and support payroll reporting and audits
• Review and validate timesheets, PTO, bonuses, adjustments, and wage calculations prior to payroll submission
• Ensure correct computation of wages, overtime, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings
• Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and 401(k) tracking

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on payroll experience processing payroll and administering benefits
• Previous experience with employee benefit enrollment, including new hire, open enrollment, and qualifying events
• Practical knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, FMLA/ADA, and benefits administration
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Previous experience with payroll tax processes and compliance procedures
