Senior Field Property Adjuster

Raphael & Associates is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Field Adjuster to join our team. Responsibilities Manage liability loss claims from initial intake through final resolution, ensuring all handling aligns with policy provisions, company guidelines, and applicable state regulations. Maintain ownership of each claim to ensure timely progress, accurate documentation, and appropriate settlement strategies. Perform comprehensive on-site field investigations to evaluate property damage and determine liability exposure. Inspect loss locations, gather physical evidence, take photographs, and analyze contributing factors to support accurate claim assessments and coverage decisions. Conduct interviews with insureds, claimants, witnesses, contractors, and other relevant parties. Document all interactions thoroughly, capturing key statements, observations, and inconsistencies, and accurately enter detailed notes into internal claims management systems. Identify and evaluate potential subrogation opportunities by analyzing liability factors and third-party involvement. Preserve evidence and coordinate with subrogation teams or legal partners to support recovery efforts when applicable. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including claims examiners, supervisors and legal teams and external partners, such as, contractors, public adjusters and attorneys to produce clear, well-supported reports. Ensure findings support accurate valuation of damages and informed claim decisions. Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining consistent communication, setting clear expectations, and addressing inquiries promptly. Represent the company with professionalism, empathy, and integrity throughout the claims process, even in challenging or high-stress situations. Preferred Qualifications At least 5+ years of relevant experience at an independent adjusting company Must maintain current and valid adjuster license(es) Must maintain a valid driver’s license Strong project management skills and ability to work independently Strong working knowledge of insurance laws and general construction Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Experience with FileHandler, Xactimate, and ImageRight, or similar is a plus Must be able to carry out field investigations that may require working outdoors in varying weather conditions, navigating different property types, and safely accessing loss sites, including those with potential environmental or structural challenges.
