Sports Management Marketing Internship - Fall 2026

Internship Overview As the Sports Marketing Intern, you will collaborate with our team to assist with day‑to‑day league operations and marketing. You will gain experience in grassroots marketing, events, third‑party partnerships, and digital channels. The internship includes basic training in operations, finance, and other core knowledge, with the possibility of permanent employment upon completion. Benefits Unpaid internship with college credit Opportunity to earn money by hosting or refereeing leagues Invaluable experience in sports management Potential for full‑time position Free sports leagues and events Responsibilities Marketing Execute social media marketing campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Meetup, etc. Collect and post‑produce photo and video content from league play Develop content for social media and blog, focusing on content marketing Assist with email marketing design, strategies, and execution Execute digital sponsorship activations Design and implement on‑field marketing and tabling at community events Strategize, develop, and coordinate local grassroots marketing opportunities Collaborate with local markets to curate new and innovative marketing initiatives Make sales calls to team captains regarding upcoming events and registration deadlines Operational Assist with league audits & evaluations Provide facility and field maintenance as needed; suggest venue improvements Increase brand awareness and registration numbers through community events and marketing Inventory and upkeep of sports equipment and shirts Assist with data entry, game reports, customer service inquiries, and scheduling Qualifications Works well in a team atmosphere and requires minimal supervision Currently enrolled in college and eligible for class credit Punctual, professional, and embraces a “work hard, play hard” attitude Self‑reliant and eager to take on any task, big or small Excellent written and oral communication skills Self‑directed leader who demonstrates initiative and a solutions‑oriented approach to problem solving, with a willingness to learn and improve Ideal Candidate Experience with social media, email marketing, and content development Graphic design experience Self‑starter, well‑spoken, outgoing Detail‑oriented, ability to multitask and meet deadlines Passion for sports and community EEO Statement All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
