Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Travel experience required - Charting system experience required (Epic preferred) Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU. The position requires a strong background in medical-surgical ICU nursing. Candidates should be comfortable managing critically ill patients with a range of complex health issues. The nurse must demonstrate skill in multiple interventions, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management. Experience with central line care and arterial line management is essential. Nurses will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to a maximum of 2 patients per nurse in the unit. The position will involve collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participation in weekend shifts is mandatory, with a total of six weekend shifts in a six-week period. The unit typically sees a daily census of 14 patients and consists of 16 beds. Candidates should hold current certifications in ACLS and BLS. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for success in this role. Experience in trauma and LTAC contexts is preferred. Familiarity with specialized equipment and procedures related to the ICU setting is advantageous.
