Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Schedule
Shift: Nights

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience (PCU/Step-down experience preferred)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIHSS listed)
- Charting: Epic required
- RN must have a valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients in a progressive care unit, monitoring vital signs and responding to patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring safe and accurate administration of blood products and IV therapy.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias, providing appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Parking: Permits available through designated sources
- Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 from a manager/supervisor
