Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing (D.O.N) in the planning, development, and operation of the Nursing Department, ensuring residents receive quality care 24 hours a day.

• Ensure the Nursing Department is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Develop, implement, and update department policy and procedures as needed or directed.

• Assist with staffing to ensure resident needs and regulatory requirements are met at all times.

• Participate in federal, state, and local agency annual surveys.

• Review deficiencies noted by government agencies during inspections and assist with implementing changes needed to correct deficiencies found.

• Complete annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff and provide guidance and education to staff regarding their performance.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position directly supervises all Nursing staff, including but not limited to R.N's, L.P.N's, and C.N.A's.

Required Education and Experience

• Associates Degree in Science, Nursing, or related field

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program

• Current State License as Registered Nurse

• C.P.R. Certified

• 2 years R.N. experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• 5 years R.N. experience

• Previous experience managing a Nursing department

Note: Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 ANNUALLY (negotiable based on experience)
