Working closely with providers and the care team, you will assist with patient visits, care coordination, procedure preparation, and patient education. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate support to patients navigating complex treatment plans.ScheduleFull-time position, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.Hours may vary based on provider and departmental needs.No weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, or on-call requirements.Position based in Quincy, Illinois.Fast-paced specialty clinic environment focused on patient-centered pain management care.Primary ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical histories, medication information, and visit details.Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.Assist providers with examinations, injections, and office-based procedures.Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, medication refills, and follow-up appointments.Communicate provider recommendations, test results, and patient education materials.Respond to patient phone calls, portal messages, and clinical inquiries in a timely and professional manner.Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.Assist with procedure room preparation, inventory management, and equipment readiness.Support patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas.Perform other duties as assigned to support pain management clinic operations.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.CPR certification required (available upon hire).Medical Assistant certification preferred.Previous clinical experience in a physician office, specialty clinic, orthopedics, neurology, pain management, or related healthcare setting preferred.Strong communication, organizational, and patient service skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.Experience with electronic medical records preferred.Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance.Access to a mental health benefit at no cost.Employer provided life and disability insurance.$5,250 Tuition Reimbursement per year.Immediate 401(k) match.40 hours paid volunteer time off.A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay and a financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non-physician team members once eligibility requirements are met.The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.12 - $24.18 per hour, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
