Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team! Your Experience & Skills

• Has at least 1 year of clinical veterinary experience
• Brings a positive, team-oriented attitude to work every day
• Is committed to providing a stress-free environment for our patients
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
• Has a flexible schedule and is willing to adapt to the needs of the hospital
• Holds an active WA State Veterinary Technician's License

You are Willing and Able to As an Oncology LVT, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality care to our oncology patients, both hospitalized and outpatient, while delivering exceptional client service. Specific tasks include:

• Utilizing a Fear Free approach to handling patients and following safety protocols
• Maintaining accurate patient records using EzyVet and SmartFlow
• Administering injectable and oral medications (antiemetics, steroids, etc.) and understanding chemotherapeutic agents and protocols
• Setting up and assisting with chemotherapy, tissue sampling, and other diagnostic procedures
• Demonstrating understanding of hazardous waste handling and chemotherapy safety protocols
• Performing venipuncture, cystocentesis, and laboratory procedures (e.g., blood smears, PCV/TS)
• Communicating effectively with clients, providing updates and ensuring their understanding of treatment plans
• Supporting our gold standard veterinary care and advocating for the well-being of our patients
