**Exciting Opportunity for an Interventional Radiology Tech!** **Job Description:** - **Position Type:** Interventional Radiology Tech - **Experience Required:** Minimum 5 years - **Traveler Experience:** Required - **Local Candidates:** Accepted **Essential Skills:** - Proficiency in Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures - Equipment maintenance and supply stocking - Expertise in the following procedures: - Angioplasty - Chest Tube Placement - Embolization - Gastrostomy Tube Placement - IVC Filter Placement - Liver Biopsy - Mesenteric Angiogram - Stent Placement - Thoracentesis - Catheter/Drain Exchange - Cystoscopy - Internal/External Biliary Drainage - Nephrostomy - Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiogram - Renal Artery Stent Placement - Ureteral Stent Placement - Central Venous Access/Port Placement - Accessing/Managing Ports - Non-Tunneled/PICC Line Maintenance - Fluoroscopy - Accurate Monitoring - Equipment Setup - Prep Access Site - Room Circulator and Sterile Field Maintenance - Isolation Precautions - Rapid Response/Code Team Utilization **Certifications Required:** - ARRT (Radiology) - BLS **Preferred Skills & Certifications:** - ARRT (VI) - PACS - TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) - Computed Tomography - GE Innova IGS, Siemens - Ultrasound Expertise - EKG Lead Placement - Recognition of Life-Threatening Arrhythmias - Familiarity with Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose) **Work Schedule:** - **Shift:** Monday-Friday, 4x10 (0630-1700) - **Call Requirement:** Weekend call, only - **Weekend Call Rotation:** 1:5, 2-24 hour shifts in a five-week period - **Weekend Requirement:** 3-4 weekends per contract **Patient Diagnoses:** - Acute inpatient population - ED emergent population - Outpatient routine procedures including: - Bleeds - Cancer - End-of-life care - Fibroids - Vascular disease - Urological comorbidities - Failure to thrive **Special Procedures/Unit Details:** - Interventional body procedures: - Port placement - Pleurx and Gastrostomy Tube Placement - Nephrostomy Tube Placement - Embolizations for bleeding and fibroids - Liver cancer treatments/SIRT and chemoembolization - Trauma Level I procedures (splenic, liver, pelvic bleeds) **Special Equipment:** - Siemens single plane and GE Biplane - Ultrasound devices - Monitoring equipment **Unit Systems:** - Medication: Pyxis - Documentation: EPIC - Communication: SBAR **Additional Information:** - **Scrubs:** Provided - **Interview Availability:** Please provide your availability for the next 72 hours **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
