Job Overview Full‑time Medical Assistant – Virginia Beach, VA. Work shift: Monday‑Friday, 7:45am–5:00pm (Dayshift). No nights, holidays or weekends. Sign‑on bonus up to $5,000 for all qualified candidates. Responsibilities Provide patient care and administrative/clerical tasks under the direction of a Physician, NP, PA, RN, or LPN. Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees by identifying and addressing safety principles. Perform delegated patient care tasks and procedures as appropriate. Objectively assess situations, consider multiple alternatives, assist in developing realistic action plans, and evaluate outcomes. Demonstrate required medical‑assistant skills, effective inter‑departmental interactions, and adherence to department and system policies, procedures, and practices. Maintain productivity and efficiency in daily operations while utilizing safe, effective, ethical, and fiscally responsible resources. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Certification/licensure: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or EMT Basic. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. Clinical or administrative experience in a medical setting; 1year preferred. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision plans.
