Strategic Sourcing Lead

Shift – Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Role Overview You will be responsible for managing a complex direct spend procurement portfolio spanning electronics, electrical, and mechanical domains. In this temporary sourcing leadership role, you will mitigate volatile supply chain risks, drive multi-year cost-reduction pipelines, and influence cross-functional business partners. The ideal candidate must possess extensive industrial procurement experience and the ability to turn ambiguous data into clear, actionable executive strategies. Key Responsibilities Category & Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute strategic direct spend procurement roadmaps for electronics, electrical, and mechanical categories. Cost & TCO Analysis: Build a healthy year-over-year cost reduction pipeline using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, should-costing, and process improvements. Supplier Governance: Evaluate, select, audit, and monitor suppliers based on performance metrics, quality standards, and manufacturing capacity. Contract Negotiation: Partner with legal counsel to draft, negotiate, and execute critical strategic agreements like MSAs, NDAs, and JDAs. Risk & Demand Mitigation: Navigate volatile demand-supply cycles, manage Purchase Price Variance (PPV), and combat global supply constraints. Cross-Functional Advocacy: Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Finance to review mechanical drawings, component lifecycles, and engineering specifications. Executive Communication: Transform ambiguous data into clear, strategic narratives and present updates confidently to senior business leaders. Required Skills 10+ years of direct spend strategic sourcing, procurement, and category management experience. Deep Domain Expertise across complex mechanical, electrical, and electronics spend categories. Systems Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), E- Sourcing/P2P digital platforms (Ariba), and Spend Data Analytics. Advanced technical tracking skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio). Strategic leadership agility with a proven ability to leverage facts and data to influence stakeholders. Willingness to travel 10% or more as needed for training or immediate supply chain mitigation items. Preferred Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering , Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is required . Master’s Degree / MBA is highly preferred. Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing are desired. Prior industry experience within OEM, elevator, aerospace, oil & gas, or similar heavy industrial sectors is an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
