Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our MSK Kids team in a unique float role supporting both Pediatric Blood & Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Pediatric Surgery services. Role Overview: In this role, you will provide comprehensive, family-centered care to pediatric oncology patients across both the Pediatric BMT and Pediatric Surgery services. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members, you will help manage patients throughout their treatment journey, including pre- and post-operative care, acute inpatient management, and coordination of complex oncology care. MSK Kids is dedicated to providing exceptional care to children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and blood disorders. As part of a nationally recognized pediatric oncology program, you will have the opportunity to care for medically complex patients while working alongside experts in pediatric surgery, transplant medicine, and oncology. Key Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited PA program NCCPA certification Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure A minimum of 2 years of related pediatric inpatient, oncology, surgery, or critical care experience preferred BLS and PALS certification OR Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations Pediatric Acute Care NP certification required Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility) Related pediatric inpatient, oncology, surgery, or critical care experience preferred BLS and PALS certification Core Skills: Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams across Pediatric BMT and Pediatric Surgery services to coordinate and deliver exceptional patient care. Comprehensive Care: Assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor pediatric oncology patients with complex medical and surgical needs. Clinical Judgment: Utilize strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills to manage evolving patient conditions and escalate concerns appropriately. Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members while providing education, support, and care coordination. Adaptability: Successfully transition between services and patient populations while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care.
