Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Oncology -Sacramento, CA

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist in Oncology for the Sacramento region to build relationships with healthcare providers and drive appropriate use of company medicines. The role involves field-based engagement with physicians and medical groups, creating demand through scientific dialogue, and executing territory plans to meet sales objectives while maintaining compliance and medical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Promote BMS oncology product approved indications within territory to meet sales targets compliantly
• Build demand through balanced clinical and scientific rationale articulation for appropriate patients
• Maintain and grow scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas
• Conduct in-office presentations and speaker programs on product-related scientific information
• Collaborate cross-functionally with field teams and internal stakeholders for optimal customer experience

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree or 5+ years pharma/biotech sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing experience
• Ability to communicate scientific and clinical data accurately to physicians
• Demonstrated credibility-building with customers and influence network stakeholders
• Oncology experience preferred
• Strong account management, sales competencies, proven track record meeting/exceeding goals
• Cross-functional collaboration skills with positive team mindset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for scientific data
