Childcare Assistant Teacher

Building Blocks for Tots is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support out Toddler age group! To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma, and completion of EDU 119, a CDA certificate, or some early childhood education coursework, and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous experience working with toddlers! Our Hiring Process: Resume screen Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes) On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes) Q&A Classroom observation Offer MainJob Responsibilities: Assist the lead teacher with all aspectsof the classroomin a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center. Implement activitiesthatencourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative,and physical development. Take direction, accept constructive criticism,and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program. Createand maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children. Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children. Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running,and climbing stairs.
