Travel Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Lubbock, Texas
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel radiology assignment
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• End Date: February 22, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740–$1,860
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care and Level II trauma environment
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Expected Imaging Volume: Up to approximately 30 patients per day
• Call and Weekends: Not required
• Float: May float between units or nearby affiliated locations as needed

Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist or X-Ray Technologist in an acute care setting
• Valid Texas Radiologic Technologist license in hand at the time of submission
• ARRT(R) certification
• Current BLS certification
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform routine and complex diagnostic X-ray examinations
• Experience with trauma imaging, portable X-ray, emergency department, ICU, and adult acute care procedures
• Proficiency with PACS and Epic or comparable electronic documentation systems
• Strong patient care, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and isolation precautions

Travel X-Ray Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality routine, complex, portable, and trauma X-ray examinations
• Complete diagnostic imaging studies across a broad range of anatomy, including the chest, abdomen, spine, extremities, skull, and facial structures
• Support fluoroscopy procedures, contrast studies, and other specialized imaging services within scope of practice
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, verify orders, and promote safety and comfort throughout each examination
• Accurately document procedures and transmit diagnostic images through PACS and the electronic medical record
• Apply radiation protection practices and maintain compliance with infection prevention and isolation protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other care team members in a busy acute care environment
• Adapt to changing department needs and float between units when required
