Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit supporting a diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care patients
• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum, including newborn assessments, eye care, and Vitamin K injections — hard stop requirement
• Circulate in the OR — hard stop requirement; unit operates with 4 ORs
• Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Utilize EPIC and perform electronic fetal monitoring — hard stop requirements
• Float as needed to Postpartum and Antepartum, including potential float to sister facilities that support Mother/Baby care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• High-risk L&D experience required; must be able to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; locals are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification
• Experience with staffing models aligned to AWHONN guidelines
• Familiarity with Adult Recovery Services or substance recovery support in a clinical setting
