Direct operations for financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning Conduct in-depth financial analysis of business units or initiatives, including profitability, cost drivers, pricing strategies, and investment opportunities Monitor end-to-end profit & loss statements, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for Aetna Better Health of Oklahoma Advise on state rate adjustments, determinations, and program changes; report financial impact and determine rate adequacy Assist with state and Oklahoma Association of Health Plans inquiries regarding market share, rate-setting data submissions, and medical trend analysis Support month-end close activities related to Membership, Revenue, Medical Expense, MBR, and G&A Present schedules, reports, and variance analysis to Health Plan Finance Leadership Collaborate with Corporate Controllership and Actuarial teams to accurately reflect financial results Serve as strategic subject matter expert for forecasting cycles, with Senior Manager and Health Plan CFO/CEO approval for Enterprise reporting Prepare monthly medical trend analysis and report risk areas for mitigation by Clinical and Operational staff Participate in Medical Cost Trend meetings and suggest mitigation and SAI efforts Create and support materials for variance, close, and forecast reporting to Health Plan leadership and Enterprise Requirements 5 or more years of relevant experience Bachelor’s Degree required Preferably in Financial/Business discipline Medicare and Medicaid experience Managed Care experience Budget and Forecasting Variance Analysis Advanced Modelling SQL Knowledge Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a strong focus on Medicare and Medicaid within managed care environments. Proficient in advanced modeling and SQL to support financial analysis and reporting.
