Endpoint Security Consultant

Location: NYC

Hybrid/Remote/Onsite: Hybrid - 3 days/wk, locals only


Duration: 6 months, room to extend

Skills Needed:

1) Excellent Communication - must be able to speak to technical concepts/answer technical questions posed by the client, also will be doing documentation so we need great written comms as well

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity with focus on network and data protection.
Strong knowledge of the OSI model, layered network defense, and endpoint protection technologies.
Proven experience with IDS/IPS platforms, network segmentation, and security monitoring tools.
Advanced knowledge of encryption technologies and cryptographic standards (SHA, AES, etc.).
Hands-on experience with PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and enterprise key management platforms.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS) and industry best practices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and in team settings.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, GIAC, or vendor-specific PKI/Encryption certifications) are highly desirable.
