Director, Talent Acquisition

Coming soon to the Las Vegas Strip, Hard Rock Las Vegas will be a fully integrated luxury resort offering world-class hospitality, gaming, dining, entertainment and retail. Positioned on the 50-yard line of the Strip, the resort will feature a nearly 700 ft. guitar-shaped hotel that will change the Las Vegas skyline. The finished complex will feature over 3,700 hotel rooms, approximately 175,000 square feet of gaming space, two spas, multiple pools, live entertainment venues and dozens of restaurants, lounges and retail outlets.

JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Talent Acquisition, reporting to the Executive Director, Human Resources, is responsible for setting the strategic vision, execution, and operational oversight of all recruitment activities for the opening and ongoing success of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. This role is a critical business partner to property and corporate leadership, accountable for delivering a world-class talent acquisition strategy that supports a high-profile new property opening, future growth, and sustained operational excellence.

This leader will drive property recruitment strategies, oversee executive and large-scale hiring initiatives, and shape the employer brand through innovative recruitment marketing and communication efforts. The Director, Recruitment ensures the organization attracts, engages, and hires top talent while providing an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Hard Rock's iconic brand, culture, and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and execute forward-looking, scalable recruitment strategies aligned with workforce planning, organizational priorities, and Hard Rock brand standards, with a strong emphasis on new-property opening readiness.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to property and corporate leadership on talent acquisition strategy, labor market trends, and workforce risk mitigation.
• Lead end-to-end executive, senior leadership, and mission-critical role recruitment, ensuring consistent selection standards, structured assessments, and stakeholder alignment through offer acceptance.

• Establish recruiting requirements by analyzing business objectives, departmental plans, market conditions, headcount forecasting, and seasonal workforce demands.
• Lead comprehensive talent acquisition planning for the Hard Rock Las Vegas opening, including ramp-up timelines, phased hiring strategies, and workforce readiness milestones.
• Design and execute high-volume hiring programs and large-scale hiring events, open calls, and assessment days, partnering with internal stakeholders and external agencies as needed.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, HR, Learning & Development, and Marketing to ensure hiring plans align with opening schedules, training timelines, and operational launch requirements.
• Ensure consistent implementation of enterprise recruitment standards, tools, and processes during pre-opening and transition to steady state operations.
• Partner with Marketing and Communications to develop and execute recruitment marketing strategies that promote Hard Rock Las Vegas as an employer of choice.
• Oversee employment branding, job posting strategies, digital outreach, social media campaigns, and targeted sourcing initiatives to attract diverse, high-quality talent.
• Develop compelling recruitment messaging and content that reflects the Hard Rock culture, values, and employee experience.
• Leverage data and market insights to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment marketing channels and continuously optimize outreach strategies.
• Design proactive, diverse sourcing strategies to build robust talent pipelines locally, nationally, and internationally across all disciplines.
• Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, colleges and universities, workforce development programs, professional associations, search firms, and recruitment vendors.
• Strengthen relationships with hospitality, gaming, and entertainment talent networks to support long-term workforce sustainability.
• Provide oversight and guidance to HR and recruitment teams on applicant tracking utilization, sourcing methodologies, behavioral interviewing, candidate assessment, and selection best practices.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including pre-employment testing, background investigations, reference checks, and credit screenings.
• Develop, interpret, and communicate recruitment policies, procedures, and employment documentation to ensure compliance across all jurisdictions and business units.
• Communicate recruitment risks, compliance considerations, hiring challenges, and emerging workforce trends to executive leadership.
• Leverage recruitment analytics, technology, and reporting to measure effectiveness, optimize processes, and inform executive-level decision making.
• Continuously challenge traditional recruitment practices and introduce innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, quality of hire, time-to-fill, and candidate experience.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition or Executive Recruitment.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience at the manager, director, or equivalent level within a large, complex, multicultural organization.
• Demonstrated experience leading recruitment efforts for new hotels, casinos, or large-scale hospitality, entertainment property openings.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, fair hiring practices, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations and culturally diverse workforces.
• Proven success leading high-volume hiring and executive search simultaneously.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills in both individual and group settings.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is primarily performed in an office setting with regular engagement throughout hotel and casino operations.
• Exposure to crowds, noise, and secondhand smoke may occur.
• Must be able to move freely on the property and engage directly with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 10 pounds occasionally.
