Tech - CT

Job Summary:
Responsible for operating x-ray and computed tomography equipment, ensuring safe and accurate imaging procedures. Supports departmental objectives by performing multiple modalities and maintaining high-quality imaging services within a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate radiographic and computed tomography (CT) imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform at least two imaging modalities regularly, including x-ray and CT procedures.
• Safely transport, position, and transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Test and maintain medical imaging equipment, including defibrillators and crash carts, to ensure readiness.
• Prepare contrast agents for imaging procedures and monitor patients during examinations.
• Assist in maintaining departmental compliance with safety standards and coordinate with team members to meet operational goals.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate’s Degree in radiologic technology; Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred.
• Possess current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) in the state of practice.
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and at least two advanced modalities, including CT, mammography, MRI, or sonography.
• Maintain current BLS certification and CPR credentials from an approved vendor.
• Have at least three years of recent technical experience in medical imaging.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating Siemens CT systems and Epic medical records software.
