IPG Photonics is the world leader in high-power fiber lasers for industrial welding, cutting, and marking applications. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Technician Service to join our service depot team. In this role, you will perform repairs, testing, and maintenance on laser systems and components under the guidance of senior staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician to grow their hands-on skills and contribute to high-impact laser applications.

Job Functions

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs, testing, and maintenance of laser systems and subsystems in the service depot.
• Follow detailed work instructions and repair documentation to complete service tasks accurately.
• Assist in troubleshooting of mechanical, electronic, and optical components under supervision.
• Prepare systems and components for shipment, including inspection and proper packaging.
• Enter service data into ERP and CRM systems to document completed repairs.
• Collaborate with senior technicians on complex repairs and escalations.
• Participate in ongoing training to build skill sets across mechanical, electrical, and optical systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with 5S principles.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying minor process improvements.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
• Experience with industrial lasers, accessories, and related diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills with high and low-voltage equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
