Bohemia Manor Farm and Winery is a premier estate destination located in Chesapeake City, Maryland. Spanning 368 acres with over two miles of waterfront, the property features a historic Georgian-style manor, luxury guest accommodations, a working vineyard, and a high-volume winery and event operation.

Position Overview
The Director of Wedding & Event Sales is responsible for leading the sales strategy, execution, and performance of all weddings and events at Bohemia Manor Farm. This role oversees the sales team, establishes and enforces standard operating procedures (SOPs), and drives revenue growth by maximizing wedding bookings and expanding event opportunities across each client experience.
As a key member of the VIVÂMEE leadership team, this role requires a strong blend of strategic leadership, sales execution, team development, and operational excellence , while embodying servant leadership and championing the VIVÂMEE Virtues of Joy, Humility, and Ministry .
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed annual wedding and event revenue goals
- Identify target market segments and create actionable sales plans by segment, month, and year
- Establish and maintain lead generation channels and solicitation strategies
- Monitor performance metrics including tour volume, conversion rates, and booking pace
- Maximize revenue opportunities by expanding multi-day wedding experiences and ancillary event sales
Client Experience & Sales Execution
- Oversee the full wedding client journey from initial inquiry through event execution
- Participate in sales presentations, property tours, and key client meetings
- Ensure the highest standard of service delivery aligned with luxury hospitality expectations
- Support the sales team in upselling enhancements including décor, menus, and event design
- Ensure consistent achievement of Five-Star client reviews and satisfaction
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Wedding & Events Sales team
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and onboard team members
- Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and growth plans
- Establish a high-performance, collaborative, and service-driven team culture
- Model servant leadership and reinforce VIVÂMEE values consistently
Operational Leadership & SOP Development
- Create, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales and marketing functions
- Oversee daily sales operations and workflow optimization
- Manage CRM systems, reporting tools, and pipeline tracking
- Maintain the Reserve system and ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency
- Lead weekly sales meetings and participate in BEO meetings
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Catering, Operations, and Vendor teams to ensure seamless event execution
- Collaborate with Marketing to align brand messaging, campaigns, and lead generation strategies
- Work closely with the General Manager to align financial goals, staffing, and operational priorities
- Support continuous improvement of menus, packages, and guest experience offerings
Vendor & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with preferred vendors, planners, and industry partners
- Represent Bohemia Manor Farm at industry events, networking functions, and community engagements
- Leverage vendor partnerships to drive referrals and increase market presence
Analytics & Performance Management
- Analyze sales reports, booking trends, and conversion metrics
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and revenue increase
- Track sales performance against goals and adjust strategies accordingly
- Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership
Leadership & Mentorship Responsibilities
- Foster a positive, productive, and safe work environment
- Provide clear direction and accountability across the sales team
- Coach team members to improve performance and close rates
- Monitor tour quality and participate in guest-facing experiences
- Continuously refine the client journey and sales process
- Support cross-property collaboration within VIVÂMEE Hospitality as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Leadership, Hospitality, Catering, or Events
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience leading sales teams in a weddings, resort, or luxury hospitality environment
- Strong leadership presence with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Experience with CRM systems, reporting tools, and sales analytics
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Experience in marketing strategy, digital campaigns, and brand positioning preferred
