Management and Program Analyst

Job TitleDutiesThe following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.Serves as a management and program analyst supporting the development and/or interpretation of guidance on program planning, execution, and evaluation.Performs a wide range of analytical studies and projects affecting major program areas, including policies, program objectives, operations, procedures, and resource use. Compiles and presents oral or written reports to a wide IRS audience.Supports supervisor, team leader, analysts, or project managers, in the areas of, but not limited to: program management, response to Request for Information (RFI), personnel processing systems, contract administration, strategic communications planning/execution, workforce planning/forecasting, and other facility and/or security initiatives.Assists with identifying methods to resolve or address deficiencies, develops process improvements, goals, objectives, and milestones, and supports the development and execution of employee training relating to program needs.Uses information technology hardware and software applications (including but not limited to SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Space Time and Resources (STAR), Graphic Database Interface (GDI), and Knowledge Incident/Problem Service & Asset Management Program (KISAM)) to gather and interpret data, prepare reports, spreadsheets, policy statements, action plans, and illustrated presentations for delivery to FMSS executives and/or senior leadership.Standard Position Descriptions (SPD): PD21110 Visit the IRS SPD Library to access the position descriptions.
