This dynamic position provides professional and exceptional care through safe and timely transport of patients, supplies, oxygen, beds and equipment throughout the MultiCare facility. As a Transporter at MultiCare, you will collaborate with the entire nursing staff, hone your decision-making capacities, and enjoy daily variety and problem-solving opportunities.**Responsibilities**You will provide safe and timely transport of patients, beds, oxygen, supplies, and equipment throughout the facilityAssist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and/or from beds or chairs to and/or from wheelchair or stretcherYou will respond to STAR codes by transporting patient lift equipment and assisting nursing staff, as neededYou will provide assistance to units by cleaning equipment and stocking suppliesPartner with a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and solid decision-making capacitiesYou will effectively prioritize and apply organization and flexibility to your work duties**Requirements*** High school graduate or equivalent preferred* Current BLS Certification* Successful completion of in-house training program on patient lift and mobility within 6 months of placement in job* One (1) year of previous transport or related healthcare experience preferred* May require certifications based on hospital needs**About Good Samaritan Hospital** MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hub serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $21.27 - $32.36 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
