Lead Universal Banker

Job Summary Oversee and manage banking center day-to-day operations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to ensure an excellent customer experience for all customers and employees. Acknowledge customers' needs with suggestions and referrals to appropriate bank products and services. Perform all tasks accurately and efficiently while remaining in compliance with established bank policies and procedures. Outgoing, highly organized, detail-oriented, flexible, adaptable, and results-driven. Demonstrate ability to work independently and with a team, make sound decisions, and use critical thinking skills. Duties and Responsibilities Perform all UB role duties at a proficient level Possess expert-level knowledge of all teller line activities Oversee all teller line operational processes to ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures Handle all reporting pertaining to teller line operations, including variances, audits, cash levels, compliance training, safe deposit boxes, and more Communicate frequently with banking center leadership on operational status, audits, cash activities, operational checklists, required tasks, and compliance training Ensure accuracy around CTRs, check holds, and adherence to procedures and processes Consistently demonstrate engagement skills and uncover customer needs Delegate tasks appropriately Utilize critical thinking skills to make appropriate risk-based decisions, including providing overrides and approvals Take on an operational leadership role and mentor others Serve as backup to manager in their absence Contribute to and support strategic initiatives Seek additional involvement such as internal committees or corporate initiatives Continuously look for opportunities to develop and enhance skills May process consumer loan applications and maintain NMLS number Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Two years of banking experience required; four or more preferred Minimum of one year of new account experience required Must be operationally strong and able to lead day-to-day operations Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required Must have a smartphone (iOS or Android) that supports bank’s IT security guidelines About Us For over a century, Peoples Bank has served as a cornerstone of customer commitment, helping our communities thrive and continuously supporting our community members.
