Summary: Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Dentist to join our team at our Bedford Avenue, NY location. The Dentist will provide dental care by diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth and gums. This role involves both clinical responsibilities and operational oversight. The Dentist performs duties in compliance with all organizational systems and job-specific standards.Job Type: Full-TimeSalary: $170,254.50 – $196,833.00Sign On Bonus: $5000Location: 2351 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11226Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the dental team at the site, including oversight of dental support staff and clinical operationsMonitor weekly ordering and inventory managementReport equipment repair needs and support site-level dental operationsAttend site staff and leadership meetings, as well as departmental meetingsCoordinate with the Health Center Director, Dental Director of Operations, and Chief Dental Officer on operational mattersPerform root canal therapy on anterior teeth and other teeth within scopeConduct full-mouth periodontal exams and develop treatment plansTake impressions and create models for dentures and crownsConsult with other healthcare professionals to plan appropriate dental treatmentsExtract infected or non-restorable teethProvide preventive counseling, anticipatory guidance, and oral hygiene educationLocate and restore cavities following diagnosis and radiographic reviewConduct comprehensive oral exams and document findings using OpenDental and eCW medical record systemsRequirements:Bachelor’s DegreeD.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental schoolCurrent New York State Dental LicenseCPR/BLS CertificationPreferred Requirement: Master’s DegreeAbout Sun River HealthSun River Health has a rich history of providing quality, affordable health care to communities in need.
