This role contributes ... Primary Duties: Lead and manage multiple engineering teams, including managers and senior engineers, to deliver high-quality results. Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals and product roadmaps. Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of complex product development and engineering programs. Ensure engineering deliverables meet performance, cost, quality, and schedule requirements. Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align engineering priorities with business objectives. Drive standardization, documentation, and best practices across engineering functions. Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Promote innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies. Support regulatory compliance, product certification, and quality standards. Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve product performance, manufacturability, and operational efficiency. Support new product development from concept through production and lifecycle management. Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and engineering capabilities. Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to optimize product design and processes. Represent engineering in leadership discussions and strategic planning activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, including leadership responsibilities, Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience in manufacturing or HVAC environments preferred. Advanced degree preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of engineering principles, product development processes, and system design. Proven leadership capability managing teams, managers, or large engineering functions. Strong business acumen and ability to align engineering initiatives with organizational goals. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Essential and Physical Functions: Ability to think strategically and lead complex engineering initiatives. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Effective communication with leadership, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during work activities. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally. Ability to travel as needed to support business and operational activities. Perform work in office, lab, and manufacturing environments with frequent cross-functional collaboration. Regular interaction with engineering teams, operations, and leadership. Occasional exposure to manufacturing conditions such as noise, temperature variations, and industrial equipment. Fast-paced environment focused on product development, performance, and continuous improvement. Compliance with all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when visiting operational areas.
