Technical Seamstress Part Time

Seamstress/Seamster Position

We are seeking a skilled part-time Seamstress/Seamster for an established company on the Southside of Jacksonville, FL. This position will include completing alterations, cutting fabric, measuring customers for custom clothes/alterations, operating a sewing machine, and hand sewing.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 9am to 6pm & Saturday, 9am to 4pm flexible schedule - Part time

Pay: $20-30/hr depending on experience

Job Duties of the Seamstress/Seamster:

• Taking accurate measurements using a measuring tape.
• Safely operate a variety of sewing equipment.
• Complete alterations of regular types and evening dresses and wedding dresses
• Cut different types and styles of fabrics.
• Operating a sewing machine.

Skills and Qualifications of the Seamstress/Seamster:

• Proven experience operating a sewing machine.
• Must be able to use and read measuring tapes.
• Knowledge of fabrics.
• High attention to detail.
• Very good hand-eye coordination.
