Job Opportunity: Full-Time Optometrist

Our organization is currently in search of a dedicated Optometrist to join our team at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fort Smith, AR. This is a full-time position requiring candidates to have completed residency training that qualifies them for board eligibility or certification, along with holding an active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state.

Key Highlights of the Position

• Competitive Salary: Starting base salary ranges from $125,000 to $190,000.
• Employment Type: Permanent full-time role.
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive eye care services, including follow-up care for existing conditions and management of emergencies.
• Conduct examinations of the human eye to identify and treat abnormal conditions.
• Refer patients to and consult with other healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Prescribe lenses, devices containing lenses, prisms, contact lenses, orthotics, vision training, pharmaceutical agents, and prosthetic devices to address defects or abnormal conditions of the eye and its surrounding structures.
• Educate patients, residents, students, and medical staff on ocular anomalies, diseases, and sight conservation strategies.
