Registered Nurse - IMCU/PCU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Day 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our IMCU unit. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intermediate Care Unit or Progressive Care Unit and have travel experience. This role requires floating to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with common diagnoses including Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, and Respiratory issues.
• Manage patients with chronic vents, utilizing RT for assistance.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Monitor patient progress and maintain detailed records.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in New York, with verification through NURSYS report.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification.
• 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
• Experience with EPIC EMR.
• Driver's license with an address matching demographics.
