We are committed to building a culture centered around safety, ownership, respect, accountability, honesty, responsiveness, and teamwork.Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Finishing Operator Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 18.00 / hourFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredFirst ShiftRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, and finishing specifications.Perform deburring, edge-breaking, polishing, and surface finishing operations on machined parts.Remove excess material, weld spatter, and surface imperfections using hand and power tools.Operate grinders, sanders, buffers, pneumatic tools, and other finishing equipment.Prepare parts for painting by cleaning and washing finished components.Work closely with machining and quality teams to ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.Finishing Operator Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Manufacturing, deburring, finishing, or metalworking experience preferred.Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and safety.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
