Position Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Alpharetta, GA Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Facilities & Operations
Position Overview: A growing industrial facility in the Alpharetta area is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations. This hands-on role is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Primary Duties
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on facility systems and production equipment
- Identify and resolve issues related to electrical wiring, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Service HVAC units, lighting systems, and general infrastructure
- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs and after-hours calls as required
- Maintain accurate service logs and repair documentation
- Follow all safety standards and internal procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Use various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Support facility improvements, equipment installations, and renovation projects
- Coordinate with third-party service providers for specialized repairs and upgrades
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications or vocational training a plus)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility or equipment maintenance
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to interpret technical documents including blueprints and manuals
- Experience with digital maintenance tracking systems is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset
- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces
- Comfortable working in environments with temperature changes, dust, and noise
