Assistant Manager - Demand Planning

Job TitleManage and oversee Customer Demand Reviews as part of the Monthly S&OP process. Produce and validate 12 months rolling sales consensus forecast considering historic data, market share, promotional activity, and sellout data at sku and category level. Key liaison between sales, pm and psi teams. Maximize forecast accuracy and minimize bias as well as have a deep understanding of drivers behind major differences. Ensure smooth execution of the phase in & phase out process, identify risks and opportunities and escalate it to top management if necessary.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesConduct monthly demand reviews as per the agreed monthly cadenceTrack sales performance vs forecast and adjust if neededEnsure the accuracy of the data into local systemUnderstand drivers behind the differences between Demand Forecast and financial commitmentCommunicate risk and opportunities to top managementDrive net working capital improvement through bias reductionRecommend sales profile for seasonal products based on actual sales and not on product arrival25% travel requirementOther Duties assignedRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in Demand Planning and/or supply chain, or related field.Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent verbal and written communicationComputer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, statistical forecasting tools)Knowledge of the new Walmart system LuminateBusiness acumen and partnershipProblem solving skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentInternal and external customer service orientationComfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertaintyProblem solving and decision-makingCultural awareness and sensitivityBachelor’s degree in a business-related field
