Strength Conditioning Coach Youth and Adult

Benefits Bonus based on performance D1 Training - Newport Mesa Position Summary D1 Training Newport Mesa is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and knowledgeable Youth Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our coaching staff. This individual will be responsible for leading and coaching youth athletes (ages 7-18) through structured training programs designed to improve athletic performance, build confidence, and develop lifelong fitness habits. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young athletes, thrives in a team environment, and embodies the positive, high-energy culture that D1 Training is known for. Key Responsibilities Lead group-based strength and conditioning sessions for youth athletes. Coach and demonstrate proper movement mechanics, speed, agility, strength, and conditioning techniques. Create a positive, motivating, and safe training environment. Build relationships with athletes and parents while providing exceptional customer service. Ensure athlete safety by maintaining proper coaching ratios and enforcing facility standards. Monitor athlete progress and provide constructive feedback. Assist with athlete evaluations, onboarding sessions, and performance testing. Maintain facility cleanliness, equipment organization, and operational standards. Participate in community outreach events, camps, clinics, and promotional activities. Collaborate with fellow coaches to deliver a consistent D1 Training experience. Qualifications Previous experience coaching youth athletes in strength and conditioning, sports performance, or related fields. Strong understanding of athletic development, movement mechanics, and age-appropriate training methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire athletes of varying ages and skill levels. CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain). Nationally recognized certification preferred (CSCS, SCCC, NASM-CPT, USAW, ACSM, ISSA, etc.). Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or related field preferred but not required. Must pass a background check prior to working with athletes. Preferred Attributes Collegiate or competitive athletic background strongly preferred. Coaches from a range of sport backgrounds encouraged to apply. Passion for developing young athletes both on and off the field. High energy and positive attitude. Strong leadership skills and professionalism. Team-oriented mindset. Experience coaching team sports or working within an athletic development program. Physical Requirements Ability to demonstrate exercises and movement patterns, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, squat, lift, and coach for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
