A leading family law legal services firm in California is searching for an experienced Remote Senior Family Law Attorney who lives in Los Angeles to seed a new office in the area. They are looking for an seasoned family law attorney with 10+ years of experience and an established clientele or book of business to start building up a new office location. The position is fully remote to start, but candidates must be willing and able to attend court in LA. This is your chance to be a key player at one of the largest and most reputable family law firms in the state of California where you will be the at heart of the new office while working work on a variety of challenging and complex family law cases. Pay Range: $160,000 - $180,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee family law cases, handling 20-40 cases initially and assisting with others as needed
- Take cases to trial, with trial numbers varying depending on court availability
- Conduct consultations with potential clients and facilitate seamless client transitions
- Collaborate with paralegals on drafting and declarations, providing guidance as necessary
- Attend court daily for hearings and trials, which may include private judge trials
- Develop expertise in examining and cross-examining witnesses and handling experts
- Strive to become a Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS)
- 10+ years of family law experience in California
- Trial experience in family law cases
- California State Bar admission
- Ability to bring a book of business or clients to the firm
- Desire to become a Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS)
- Must live in Los Angeles, CA area
