Physician Associate or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist

Description New Grads WELCOME MaineHealth Franklin Hospital is seeking a Physician Associate (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to care for patients in the hospital at MaineHealth Franklin Hospital in Farmington, Maine. The role includes Advanced Practice Providers (APP) evaluating and treating patients primarily on the hospital medicine ward, completing admissions, and providing consultative services to various sub‑specialties within the hospital including the emergency department. The APP will work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team of physicians, nursing staff, care management, and ancillary services to ensure optimal patient care. To facilitate providing exceptional patient care, practitioners will participate in quality initiative programs within the department of hospital medicine. This position is full‑time, with a variable, request‑based schedule and does include weekend and holiday shifts. New grads are welcome to apply. Scheduled hours: 10‑hour shifts, daytime shifts (7 am to 5 pm), with the potential for swing shifts (9 am to 7 pm); part‑time and full‑time opportunities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligibility for licensure. Experience in hospital medicine preferred but not required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to effectively triage, organize, and prioritize. Ability to function as part of a team. Proficient computer skills.
