Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night 3x12-Hour Shifts: 19:00 - 07:30. Weekend shift coverage required every other weekend.

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team. The ideal candidate must have general laboratory experience and specific expertise in blood bank procedures. This role requires a commitment to quality patient care and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures including blood banking processes.
• Accurately interpret and report test results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Generalist with Blood Bank Experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent travel experience preferred.
• Current ASCP, ASCP-MLS, or ASCP-MLT certifications are required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred.
• Must be able to float to different units as needed.
