About This Role:

Parachute Home is seeking a highly analytical Sales & Inventory Operations Planning Manager to join our Supply Chain team based in Los Angeles. This new role is responsible for the inventory reconciliation process between demand and supply planning as part of the Sales and Inventory Operations planning process, reporting to and in partnership with the Chief Supply Chain Officer. The role also leads our monthly S&IOP cadence, driving preparation discipline and meeting rigor. This role will drive overall company inventory health, working closely with Finance, Logistics, Demand Planning colleagues to produce analysis enabling our Executive team to make decisions with confidence.

What You'll Do:

S&IOP Process Management:

• Project-manage the monthly S&OP cadence end-to-end: own the calendar, prep deadlines, and template completion so each pillar's inputs land on time.
• Enforce meeting rigor; agendas set in advance, the right people prepped, decisions and open items logged in the cycle, so sessions run to time and produce a decision.
• Ensure ELT-ready deliverables (S&OP pack, demand bridge one-pager, decision log) are complete, reviewed and ready before each cycle; escalate gaps to the CSCO with enough lead time to fix them before they reach the ELT.
• Hold the operating rhythm's system of record; the process runs on time and at the right standard because of this role; the content of each pillar's inputs remains that pillar owner's responsibility.

Inventory Position & Reporting:

• Maintain clear visibility into inventory levels, value, location, availability and overall health across products and channels (Retail, B2C and B2B).
• Own and maintain the standing inventory page (the four inventory buckets, weeks of supply, aging) as a build block of the supply-review output, not a standalone report.
• Analyze inventory productivity (weeks of supply, sell-through, aging) to identify risks, opportunities and areas requiring action.

Inventory Reconciliation:

• Execute the inventory reconciliation process between demand and supply planning inside the monthly S&OP cycle; surfacing gaps, risks and tradeoffs against the business plan, in partnership with the CSCO.
• Identify excess, slow-moving and at-risk inventory and develop fact-based recommendations; substantiate figures (e.g., Excess &Overage builds) with underlying data for CFO review.
• Establish inventory targets and ideal coverage by SKU based on demand, supply constraints, lead times and business objectives for CSCO approval.
• Track actions against agreed owners and follow through from recommendation to outcome; escalate undecided items rather than resolving them unilaterally.

Financial Reconciliation:

• Partner with Finance to ensure accurate inventory reconciliation, valuation, and reporting across production, in-transit, warehouse, and returns inventory.
• Lead month-end and year-end inventory close processes, monitor inventory health and risks, and partner cross-functionally on mitigation actions including markdowns and write-offs.

Cross-Functional Partnership:

• Partner with Demand Planning, Merchandising, Growth, Finance, Production, and Quality to translate inventory insights into commercial, production, and financial decisions.
• Develop and improve inventory reporting, planning tools, and processes, providing clear visibility into inventory performance, risks, and recommendations for the CSCO and senior leaders.
• Support inventory execution across channels, including PO and production tracking, period-end reconciliation, and weekly allocation of products to Retail stores.

Who You Are:

• 3–5+ years of experience in inventory planning, merchandize planning, supply planning or inventory management within a consumer, retail or e-commerce business.
• Strong understanding of inventory planning concepts and metrics including Weeks of Supply (WOS), sell-through, aging, inventory turns and S&OP.
• Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, advanced formulas) or Google Sheets proficiency on large data sets;
• Ability to move beyond reporting what happened to develop a clear point of view on what the business should do next.
• Commercially minded and able to balance inventory availability, working capital, customer demand and financial risk
• Comfortable driving cross functional action without direct authority, and equally comfortable escalating rather than deciding when a call sits above this role.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems strongly preferred
• Highly analytical and data-accuracy proficiency
• Clear written and verbal communication to drive cross-functional updates

Compensation

The base salary range for this position will be $115,000-$135,000. Compensation may vary based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and location. This role may be eligible for additional compensation through bonus or stock options.
