Senior Commercial Underwriter page is loaded## Senior Commercial Underwriterremote type: On-Sitelocations: Dallas, Texas 75219time type: Full timeposted on: Posted 25 Days Agojob requisition id: R-2171**Summary**Analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to commercial businesses or individuals; Leads their respective teams; assumes the responsibilities of a manager by performing the following duties.**Duties and Responsibilities** include the following.Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests on complex commercialcredit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater.* Keep up to date with the company’s lending protocols.* Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment, with varying degrees of supervision and a working knowledge of accounting principles and financial techniques* Research skills* Strong problem-solving, mathematical and analytical skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Ability to maintain confidentiality* Proficiency with computers and computer software, like programs that aid in statistical and financial calculations* Proficiency with financial reports and statements* Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data* Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and conceptsThe ideal candidate should be self-motivated, be a team player and have a strong work ethic.* Performs loan reviews/annual reviews on selected borrowers and guarantors for commercial credit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater.* Performs cash flows, financial credit analysis, collateral valuations, global cash flows, etc. for commercial borrowers and guarantors on credit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater.* Accompanies relationship managers on customer calls and site visits of potential and existing customers as requested / needed.* Performs ongoing file maintenance to ensure credit information is uploaded to the credit file in a timely basis as needed.* Identifies policy, collateral, and missing document exceptions.* Identifies strengths and weaknesses of the relationship.* Assists relationship managers in structuring credits, assessing covenants and monitoring procedures.* Responsible for training and development of new relationship managers on the credit analysis process.* Responsible for training, development, and mentoring of new credit analysts and the CDP analyst on the credit analysis underwriting and processes.* Manages and develops Credit Analyst II / III in the department along with the CDP Analyst (Credit Analyst I).* Distributes and assigns work flow based on knowledge and complexity in credit manager’s absence.* Assists Loan Committee, as needed, with reports, agenda, meeting book, minutes of meetings, and any other duties in Credit Analysis Manager's absence.**Supervisory Responsibilities** Supervises employees of the Credit Analysis Department in manager’s absence. May supervise and manage the Credit Analyst II / III. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. A.) from four-year college or university, Accounting or Finance degree preferred; seven or more years credit analysis experience required; or equivalent combination of experience in Credit / Banking.**Computer Skills** To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic knowledge of computer applications such as Moody’s, the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
