This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced litigator to step into sophisticated state and federal litigation, work directly with firm leadership, and build toward a long-term partnership opportunity in a collaborative, entrepreneurial practice.What You'll Do as the Senior Litigation Attorney:Independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolutionHandle sophisticated commercial, construction, and government-related disputes in both state and federal courtsDevelop litigation strategy, draft dispositive motions, and prepare persuasive legal argumentsLead depositions, motion practice, evidentiary hearings, and trial preparationServe as second chair at trial, with opportunities to assume first-chair responsibilitiesPrepare and examine witnesses while developing effective trial strategyBuild trusted relationships with sophisticated clients and serve as their primary legal advisor throughout litigationMentor junior attorneys and legal staff while fostering a collaborative team environmentSupport business development initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen client relationshipsPlay a meaningful role in the firm's continued growth and future leadershipMust-Haves as the Senior Litigation Attorney:5+ years of sophisticated commercial litigation, construction litigation, or closely related litigation experienceAbility to independently manage complex litigation matters from beginning to endStrong motion practice, deposition, and courtroom experienceSecond-chair trial experience requiredFirst-chair trial experience strongly preferredExperience representing sophisticated commercial, government, contractor, or institutional clientsBackground with a nationally recognized or highly respected regional law firmMinimum of 3 years with a Top 200 or similarly respected law firmSenior Associate, Counsel, or Partner-level experienceExcellent legal writing, analytical, and client communication skillsJuris Doctor from a well-regarded law schoolNice-to-Haves as the Senior Litigation Attorney:Construction litigation experienceGovernment contracts litigation experienceCourt of Federal Claims experienceWashington, DC Bar admissionAdditional East Coast bar admissionPortable book of businessInterest in a long-term leadership or partnership pathThis Role Offers:Base salary of $175,000-$220,000, with flexibility for highly qualified candidatesAdditional compensation consideration for attorneys with meaningful portable businessProfit sharing after one year, typically 8%-10% of salary10% origination bonusFully remote work environmentFlexibility to maintain a home office or private officeAccess to firm office space in Seattle or Alaska, if desiredComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)401(k) with 3.5% Safe Harbor contributionBar dues and professional association memberships paidHome office equipment providedPhone stipendAnnual travel stipend up to $5,000Clear partnership track with significant leadership opportunitiesTrueline is an unabashed equal-opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.
