Registered Nurse School Setting in South Amboy, NJ

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This role offers the opportunity to provide dedicated one-on-one care to a three-year-old student with specific medical needs, ensuring their safety and well-being in an educational environment. Work onsite as part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering specialized support during school hours. Key Qualifications Active RN license Experience in school nursing or pediatric care, especially with NG tube management Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills Desired Experience Previous work with non-ambulatory students is highly valued Experience with complex health cases in educational settings preferred Familiarity with safely assisting students during bus transport Primary Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to a student with an NG tube throughout the school day Monitor student’s health status and respond immediately to medical needs Administer prescribed treatments and medications per care plan Interface with educational staff and parents regarding the student’s ongoing needs Ensure proper documentation of all care provided Accompany the student on bus rides to and from school, if required This contract offers a meaningful opportunity to work closely with one student, building supportive relationships and making a genuine difference.
