Roles and Responsibilities

The Tier 3 Production Control Associate is responsible for performing assembly and packing as core functions of the role while also supporting forklift operation and cycle counting activities. This associate must be able to follow prints, use hand tools safely and correctly, operate a forklift as authorized, support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, read templates and picking sheets, and use Sage to complete assigned production, inventory, and order-related tasks.

Tier 3 Main Responsibility: Assembly, Forklift Support, and Inventory Accuracy

• Perform assembly work as the main responsibility of the Tier 3 Production Control Associate role.

• Read, understand, and follow prints, diagrams, work instructions, templates, and product specifications.

• Use hand tools, fixtures, and basic production equipment safely and correctly to complete assembly tasks.

• Confirm that parts, hardware, and components match prints, work orders, and production requirements before and during assembly.

• Check assembled products for correct fit, alignment, completeness, and visible quality issues.

• Identify and report missing parts, incorrect materials, damaged components, or assembly concerns to the lead or supervisor.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe assembly work area while supporting daily production goals.

• Support packing of completed products according to customer requirements, templates, and company packaging standards.

• Read and follow packing templates to confirm the correct packaging materials, labels, inserts, and cartons are used.

• Read picking sheets to verify part numbers, product descriptions, quantities, and order requirements.

• Inspect items before packing to confirm they are complete, clean, and ready for shipment or transfer.

• Label, count, stage, and prepare packed items accurately.

• Notify the lead or supervisor of missing items, incorrect paperwork, damaged product, or packaging supply shortages.

• Operate a forklift safely and responsibly when authorized, including moving, staging, loading, unloading, and organizing materials as needed to support production and warehouse flow.

• Perform cycle counting activities to help maintain accurate inventory, verify part numbers and quantities, and report discrepancies to the lead or supervisor.

System and Documentation Responsibilities

• Use Sage to look up, confirm, and update assigned production, inventory, order, or shipment information.

• Verify information in Sage against prints, picking sheets, templates, work orders, and physical product.

• Enter or confirm production counts, material usage, order details, and completion information as required.

• Identify and communicate discrepancies between Sage, paperwork, materials, and completed product.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow required production control procedures.

Shared Responsibilities for All Roles

• Follow company policies, safety rules, quality standards, and production procedures always.

• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals and customer requirements.

• Communicate clearly with supervisors, leads, quality personnel, maintenance, and team members.

• Identify and report unsafe conditions, quality concerns, missing materials, or process issues.

• Use tools, equipment, and materials properly and responsibly.

• Maintain good attendance, punctuality, and readiness to work assigned schedules or overtime when required.

• Support continuous improvement by suggesting ways to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous assembly, packing, manufacturing, warehouse, or production control experience preferred.

• Ability to read and follow prints, templates, picking sheets, work instructions, and product specifications.

• Ability to use hand tools safely, accurately, and consistently.

• Ability to support packing tasks and follow packaging requirements.

• Ability to use Sage for order, inventory, production, and documentation tasks.

• Ability to operate a forklift safely when trained and authorized.

• Ability to complete cycle counts, verify inventory accuracy, and communicate inventory discrepancies clearly.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality workmanship.
