You start your shift with a quick stretch beside your crew, then walk the production floor—because 40–50% of your time belongs where the action is. You listen, you coach, you spot wins, and you audit processes that keep quality and safety locked in. You move from extruders to labeling stations, verify conditions are in spec, and partner with Maintenance to keep uptime above goal. You close with a solid turnover so the next leader has every detail to run strong.

• Be present on the floor 40–50% of each shift to coach, recognize great work, verify process adherence, and correct issues in real time.
• Run thorough end-of-shift handoffs so information flows cleanly between leaders and crews.
• Enforce fit-for-duty expectations; act immediately on suspected alcohol, smoking, or substance use on company property.
• Continuously audit conditions and behaviors for safety; uphold policies and HR rules without exception.
• Set the bar for PPE and safe work: always LOTO, steel-toe footwear, eye and hearing protection, no earbuds or phones on the floor, long sleeves, dust masks as needed, and daily pre-shift stretching.
• Embed 5S thinking and improvements across lines and areas.
• Learn the manufacturing process, roles, and equipment to better support operators and Crew Leads.
• Ensure SOPs conform to ISO 9001 and are followed end-to-end: paperwork, process control limits, scanning, and labeling systems.
• Coach and develop Crew Leads to raise Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost control, and team morale.
• Maintain an open-door, team-first environment with zero tolerance for retaliation.
• Stay responsive—meetings, email, and phone—and remain accessible via company-issued cell.
• Invest in your leadership growth through scheduled development and management training.
• Support integrated management systems and tools; verify accurate, consistent use.
• Plan coverage with trained backups for Leads and operators to handle absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• People-first leadership with a change-agent mindset and strong communication across all levels.
• Strategic problem prevention paired with critical thinking and a sharp eye for detail.
• Required: experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and methods.
• Comfort analyzing data from multiple sources to draw clear conclusions.
• Ability to shift a team from reactive firefighting to proactive control while managing day-to-day surprises.
• Sound judgment to reprioritize jobs when equipment issues surface.
• Fluency with computers and the systems needed to run the operation.

• 4–6 years in production, ideally with Lead-level or higher leadership responsibilities.

• GED or higher.
• Knowledge in mechanical/technical or business disciplines, typically gained through up to 18 months of post–high school education or training.
