Job Summary The Town of Auburn’s Fire Rescue Department is seeking a full time Fleet Mechanic to work within the departments Fleet Service Division. The division currently has one full time EVT Fleet Mechanic trained as an Emergency Vehicle Technician. This position is an addition to the division, not a replacement. The position works under the collective bargaining agreement for the towns Department of Public Works. New Fire Rescue Headquarters is being constructed that will have a new, double deep fleet maintenance shop. The department recently took delivery of a 2025 Ford F350 utility body fleet maintenance truck. The department also has a new fire engine and two new Ambulances on order. Full Time Position Hours: 40 hours per week, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Hourly: Range from $31.80 to $32.49 Requirements Valid MA driver’s license. CDL endorsement preferred. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
