This facility operates as a state prison providing outpatient primary care services to an adult incarcerated population. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and a multidisciplinary support team, including NPs and nurses, to facilitate quality medical care delivery. Clinicians are expected to integrate internal medicine management into the structured framework of the correctional environment.

The Internal Medicine physician will provide outpatient primary care services to an adult patient population during day shift hours at a correctional facility. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, seeing 15-20 patients per day. Call coverage is required; the clinician will serve on 2nd call on a week-long rotation from Sunday night to Sunday day, covering all facility locations once every 2 months. The clinician will work collaboratively with NPs and nursing staff to support the care needs of the patient population. Prescriptive authority is required for this assignment.
