Job Overview A confidential organization is seeking a hands-on and strategic finance leader to oversee all aspects of accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys both high-level strategy and direct involvement in daily accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, compliance, team leadership, and supporting business operations. Location: Western Suburb of Chicago, IL (On-site) Employment Type: Full-Time Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with applicable standards Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance Collaborate with operational teams to align financial reporting with business activities Manage accounting for service contracts and inventory Supervise and mentor a small finance/accounting team Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Coordinate with external auditors and corporate finance contacts Support business management systems and purchasing processes Oversee invoicing and account management for customers Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including team leadership Strong knowledge of accounting standards and compliance Experience with inventory management Background in project-based or service-oriented environments preferred Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Hands-on approach to team development and process improvement Familiarity with business management software is a plus Benefits Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.
