Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel X-Ray Technologist Location: IU Methodist Hospital Position: Travel X-Ray Technologist Contract Length: 13- 26 (Extension Opportunities Available) Schedule: Wed/Thurs 7p-7a, Fri 6p-6a or Wed/Thurs 7p-7a, Sat 6p-6a Position Summary IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel X-Ray Technologist to join its Diagnostic Imaging team at one of Indiana's premier Level I Trauma Centers. The ideal candidate is a motivated technologist who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and is committed to providing exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities Perform routine and portable diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and department protocols. Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Operate digital radiography and portable X-ray equipment. Maintain compliance with ALARA radiation safety standards. Perform imaging for Emergency Department, inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and surgical patients. Document procedures accurately within the Cerner EMR and PACS. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Maintain imaging equipment and ensure exam rooms are prepared for patient care. Adhere to all infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. ARRT (R) certification required. Indiana Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start). Current BLS certification (American Heart Association). Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital X-Ray experience . Experience performing portable radiography and trauma imaging. Ability to work independently in a high-volume hospital setting. Preferred Qualifications Siemens digital radiography experience preferred. Cerner EMR experience preferred. Previous Level I Trauma Center experience. Previous travel healthcare experience. Experience working with portable X-ray equipment in ICU, ED, and OR settings. Patient Population Emergency Department Trauma Inpatient Outpatient Surgical/Operating Room Adult and Geriatric patients (Pediatric exposure may be required based on department needs) Minimum 2 years X-Ray experience -IN License
