Location 32196 - Liberty Hill, TX Job Overview Manager in Training: this individual may train in other stores and cover other stores in the area (Leander/Cedar Park). Once training is concluded and a position becomes available, the person will be placed at one of Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, or Georgetown. Job Purpose A Store Manager has the ultimate responsibility for safeguarding the financial success of a specific franchise and maintaining the reputation of the company. The role ensures efficient restaurant operations while maintaining high production, productivity, quality, and customer‑service standards. A store manager is responsible for Inventory Control, Operations, Personnel Administration, and Sales. Duties and Responsibilities Monitor food and labor costs to meet store goals Ensure availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning up to 15 employees; follow up on work results Ensure the store is staffed appropriately during high traffic and cover shifts as necessary Perform minor repairs while maintaining store equipment and notify the Store Manager and/or Area Managers if repairs by an outside vendor are needed Recruit, select, orient, and train employees Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results Manage job performance of all employees in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity Maintain hygiene standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and Subway standards Maintain high standards of customer service Handle customer complaints and queries efficiently and professionally in line with Subway standards Achieve financial objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action Secure merchandise by following security systems and measures Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training in the industry and required training through Destiny Foods and the University of Subway Position Requirements Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, Assistant Manager, Shift Manager, or similar role Proven excellent customer service experience Food and beverage (F&B) knowledge Familiarity with restaurant management software, such as Point of Sale (POS) and food delivery vendors Experience tracking expenses, pricing, and vendor relationships Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills Strong communication skills, tact, and diplomacy Self‑motivated and ambitious Enthusiasm and ability to learn quickly Good organizational and time management skills Results‑driven approach to work Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills Hold a Manager food handler permit Working Conditions Hours of work are generally irregular, long, and shift‑based. Managers are required to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, and must be willing to work a minimum of 45 hours per week. Some managers may work split shifts with early starts, time off in the middle of the day, and a return to work for a later shift. The Store manager is the store's primary key‑holder and may be called to the store before, during, or after business hours in the event of an emergency. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent must bend, stoop, reach, twist, use hands, walk, and stand for extended periods. The job may require lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and may involve repetitive tasks. Occasional local driving may be required.
