Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years STAC required. - First-time travelers not accepted.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - 3 years STAC preferred.

Special Requests: - All RTO through manager, especially around holiday weeks.

Unit Details: - Fast-paced surgical oncology post-op floor caring for patients with solid tumor removal, bowel reconstruction, flaps, TPN/lipid, tubes/drains, ileus, new and s/p emergent trachs, laryngectomy tubes, ostomies, and neph tubes. - Skills/procedures include port access, TPN/lipid administration, PICC line management, wound maintenance, and NG tubes; no chemotherapy. - Charge nurse takes an assignment; phlebotomy staffing dependent, so nursing may be responsible for lab collections. - Remote telemetry monitoring. - Uses Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors, Sara Stedy, Arjo lifts, Kangaroo pump, and Sapphire pump for PCA.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No on-call. - Holiday expectations based on scheduled days from facility.

Floating Requirements: - Float to mixed acuity only.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 0

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
