Healthcare Investment Banking Associate

A premier healthcare-focused investment banking practice is seeking an associate to join their team. This group advises healthcare clients across the full spectrum of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory executing 40+ deals per year across providers and services, payers, health information technology, and life sciences and medtech. The team operates collaboratively across geographies with a deep bench of analyst support (80 bankers, 30 of whom are analysts).

Role Overview

Associates provide day-to-day execution of investment banking mandates including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory assignments. Associates also support sector coverage and business development activities across the firm's healthcare verticals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution on M&A and capital markets transactions from inception through close
• Manage and mentor junior bankers including analysts
• Develop financial models, valuation analyses, and client-facing materials
• Support business development and sector coverage initiatives
• Engage with clients across provider/services, payer, healthtech, and life sciences verticals

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct healthcare investment banking experience required
• Demonstrated M&A transaction experience required
• Experience managing and training junior investment banking team members
• Strong financial modeling and business writing skills
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Outstanding work ethic and professional judgment
• Willingness to travel as needed
• SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses preferred
• Bachelor's degree required

Compensation

• Associate I: $175,000 base
• Associate II: $200,000 base
• Associate III: $225,000 base
• Plus discretionary bonus
• Regional relocation assistance available
